Hello everyone! 

         I am Kenda Brooke Hunt, the reigning 2016-2017 Teen Miss Lumbee.  I am the 17 year old daughter of Kent and Nahir Hunt.  I have a brother, Kajun, who loves the game of Golf.  We reside in the Prospect Community. My paternal grandparents are Gurney and Bessie Hunt and my maternal grandparents are Denzel and Joan Locklear. I am a senior at Purnell Swett High School; participating as a member of the Student Government Association, an American Red Cross blood donor and a volunteer for the Breakfast Buddies club.  Also, I have a part time job at Fuller’s Old Fashioned BBQ.  My home church is Prospect United Methodist where I am a member of the choir. I’ve been a member of the theatrical program Studio One Lab through the Public Schools of Robeson County for eight years. This year I will be promoting my platform (T.E.A.M) Telling Everyone About Music.  My new sisters Lindsey, Kaloni and Kamryn and I will cherish our new year as ambassadors to our Lumbee people.  Please keep us in your prayers as we take this honorable journey together.
